Camphor Laurel is still one of the most underated turning timbers. Not only does my workshop smell fantastic, the rich grains and colours always give you something interesting. 
This platter is no exception. Subtle grain structure, pale but rich colouring and the botton still having a showing of the live edge make this a very interesting piece.
