A very natural piece of Red Gum that has been turned (literally) into a jar. The natural grain patterns, live top edge & colour shifts are magnificent on this item but the best part is the waping.
Once turned, the timber starts to "relax" into its natural shape over the next year or so until it is fully dry, causing the opening to warp & ovalise(?). This makes for a very unique & interesting piece.
